The Challenges:

As the new kid on the block in a densely populated part of a major metropolitan area, AmeriCare had to compete with many major multi-clinic practices within a mile of its location. This area was generally known for its blue-collar workers and low to moderate-income families. They also had to contend with a number of well-established private practices that added even more to the market saturation. Therefore, they needed to start with a big bang in order to get noticed and to separate themselves from the crowd as the clear choice for high quality dental care at an affordable price. Additionally, they wanted to be known as a state-of-the-art practice. This presented us with a number of steep challenges. But as usual, we were more than up to the task.






Our Solutions:

Our talented creative team at Get Quality Patients started with a powerful Corporate ID program that entailed everything from a complete letterhead group, patient forms and wall displays to outdoor signage, window displays, patient transportation decals and more. We also assisted in office design and planning while implementing the latest technology throughout the practice. This encompassed computerized practice management systems, dental imaging, advanced multimedia patient education programs and the use of computers in all operatories. We also provided extensive, on-going staff training utilizing the new technology. This encompassed instituting weekly training programs to cover patient care issues, case presentation techniques, tracking mechanisms, follow-ups and patient recalls plus we designed team-building and incentive programs for the entire staff.

From there we developed a comprehensive capabilities brochure to introduce their dental services to large employers in the area. We then focused on their more affluent prospects with a highly targeted direct-mail campaign that was designed to bring in the caliber of patients that fit the level of service AmeriCare offered. We also designed a unique 25 ft. tooth-shaped helium balloon that was custom built to draw attention to the new practice with local traffic. Finally, we produced a highly effective TV ad campaign that gave them the added exposure they needed.

The Results:

Our new client experienced a very rapid initial patient base growth and referrals have continued to expand it. They are now well positioned as the market leader in the area for the best dental care using the latest technology - usually only found in offices located in more affluent neighborhoods. The direct mail campaign was so successful that it brought the highest ROI of any marketing expenditure that was implemented. It produced an average $1,100.00 in production per patient over the following 12 month period from the patients it brought in. The campaign was continued for 18 straight months and proved to be instrumental in establishing a high level of patient trust and loyalty.

Our training and incentive programs have also paid off handsomely. The competence of their entire staff with the use of the latest technology while still paying attention to the human factor has had a very positive impact. It has clearly given them a distinct advantage over their competitors in the patient interaction game. The office has also experienced very low staff turn over due to the team spirit that has become the culture of the practice.
